The five module seminars for Women In Motion generally take place over a weekend. They are focused on navigating health, time and change management, financial, and behavior and communication issues (Lundberg uses the DISC behavioral assessment for latter. “As I looked around, I didn’t see seminars for women that brought all these issues together,” says Lundberg. “ As I listened to women’s conversation, I heard them talking about how to juggle work and home, relationships, health, their extended family’s health needs, and more. Women in Motion gives women a chance to learn and to benefit from one another in a small group setting.”
Lundberg enlisted the expertise of finance and health experts as she designed the seminars, which can be offered in practically any setting, according to the audience’s needs: conference centers, homes, church facilities, or offices. The first seminars, in October (go to www.vikingconsultinginc.org for more dates and locations) are scheduled for a weekend and will cover all five modules. Any combination of modules can be selected, however, if women want to organize a program according to their particular needs or interest.
Lundberg has also launched a networking group that meets monthly. She’s also working with a travel expert to offer the Women In Motion seminars on cruises, to combine learning with fun. And she’s interested in organizing retreats for women.
“Women really benefit from networking, as they learn how to benefit from one another and blend their experience and knowledge to support one another,” she says. Her own eagerness and passion for this new career path are obvious: “I love facilitating and training, I find Women In Motion exciting .”
Lundberg worked in human resources for companies nationally and internationally and believes that experience gave her a “wonderful education in myriad industries and environments.” She majored in anthropology in college, which she says has segued nicely with her past and present careers, as it is the study of people and cultures.
Lundberg obviously enjoys interacting with animals as much as she does with people. She has two dogs, three cats, a cockatoo, and a Koi pond with numerous inhabitants.
Women in Motion seminars are offered nationally in several convenient formats: on two consecutive weekend or weekday meetings, on consecutive evenings, or as a custom-configured program..
